As a children's nurse, I've seen babies suffer enormously due to infections such as gastro-enteritis, and ear infections, due to NEVER having received the protection of breast milk, with all the vital antibodies.   I am "old fashioned" enough to believe that breast feeding is "babies' birthright" and that formula feeding should be reserved for those cases where breast feeding is not possible.
